Arrest Warrant Issued For Newark Man, Daniel Williams, Accused Of Strangling Cat

OHIO -- Newark Police issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of strangling a cat.

Police said Daniel Williams choked a cat to death and put it in a trash can in the 500 block of East Main Street on Wednesday. He now faces a charge of animal cruelty.

Witnesses told police they saw the man strangle the cat for five minutes before wrapping it in a towel, placing it in a brown bag and then throwing it in the trash.

Officers said they later found the cat in the trash can.


Police said Williams was last seen driving a blue Ford truck with Ohio plate #EOK4368.
