Authorities Continue to Round Up Neglected Animals in Marshall County

WEST VIRGINIA -- Authorities are still trying to round up the horses in the horrendous case of animal cruelty at the Leslie Midcap farm.

On Saturday, those horses were being loaded up and taken to the Marshall County Fairgrounds while they are nursed back to health.

A special group had to be brought in from Maryland to help with the round up.

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil said there may be 20 horses, miniature horses and cows, all determined by a veterinarian to be in bad shape, there were even six dead horses across the property.

Authorities also took three children away who were found to be living in shocking conditions.
