United Kingdom: College student Jordan Roberts, 21, majoring in animal welfare found with child, bestiality animal cruelty porn

UNITED KINGDOM -- A troubled college student developed an interest in child porn after looking at ‘spanking’ websites on the internet, a court heard.

Jordan Roberts’s illegal web activities came to light when his email address linked to him had been used to upload a pornographic image online.

When Police visited his home in Shotton, they found images and movies of child sex abuse on his equipment.

Roberts, a student at Coleg Cambria at Northop studying a two year course on the care of animals, was also found to have an extreme movie depicting sex acts between people and animals.

Roberts, 21, who now lives on Top Llan Road in Glan Conwy, admitted a total of seven charges at Flintshire magistrates’ court today.

He was charges with four counts of making indecent images by downloading them from the internet, two counts of possessing such material and one count of possessing an extreme movie.

Prosecutor Justin Espie told the court that when Roberts was interviewed by police, he told how he had been looking at spanking web sites for about two years.

At first it involved adults but he then started talking to people on chat sites who referred him to other sites where children were being abused.

He progressed to watching images and films featuring children engaged in sex acts.

'Addiction'
The defendant also told how he had been speaking to teenage girls on the internet who had sent him images, while he himself had also sent images of children being abused.

He had tried to stop several times but always re-started.

The defendant told how he could not stop, it had become an addiction and he was asking for help.

Defense attorney Richard Williams argued that his client had a troubled upbringing as a result of his parents’ separation and [that] he had attended seven schools in a short period of time. He referred to himself as being fairly shy and nervous who lacked confidence.

He was described as an isolated young man who was shy and who communicated with virtual people through the computer screen.

Viewing the images had become an addiction and although he had tried to stop on a number of occasions he could not do so and needed help.

Judge Gwyn Jones said that the offences committed were serious offences which troubled the courts.

Roberts received a six month prison sentence suspended for two years.

He was also made the subject of a ten year sexual harm prevention order and was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for ten years.
