North Carolina: Elderly woman, 73, attacked in the face by a Pit Bull

NORTH CAROLINA -- My Mother and elderly woman 73 years of age was bitten by a pit bull in June 2017 she was taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital but there was nothing they could do for her.

They sent her by ambulance to Winton Salem Baptist Hospital Trauma Center to see and be treated by a Plastic Surgeon.because of the seriousness of her injuries, she was bitten in the face and the mouth. Her surgery by the Plastic Surgeons took 8 hours therefore her medical bills are outrageous and Medicare will not cover all of it..

She is still has to go back and forth to Winston to the Plastic Surgeon to make sure it is healing correctly. As a result of this she will have a life time of scarring to her face.
