Woman charged in connection with alleged dog attack on 8-year-old girl

UNITED KINGDOM -- A 22-year-old woman has been charged and a dog has been seized by police investigating an alleged dog attack on an 8-year-old girl in a Dundee park.

The animal was taken from an address in the Douglas area of the city following the alleged incident at Dawson Park on Saturday.

 The child was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries. The pet is now in the possession of dog wardens.

Officers are appealing to several dog walkers seen in the area at the time and any person that saw the incident, or might have an awareness about who the dog belongs, to contact the police by phoning 101 or speak to any officer.
