Pit bull rescue dog attacks 6-year-old Rochester Hills girl

MICHIGAN -- A pit bull rescue dog attacked a 6-year-old girl from Rochester Hills Saturday night.

The dog bit the girl in the face and thigh, according to a police report released by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.


The girl, whose name was not released by authorities, was conscious and breathing, but bleeding severely when emergency crews arrived to the 1000 block of West Auburn Road, police said.

She was in severe pain and transported to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for treatment for her wounds.

Oakland County Animal Control removed the dog from the home after the incident.
