Black dog rescued from muds of swamp

WASHINGTON -- A dog was rescued from a swamp, after it was heard whining around 50 feet into the wetland.

A rescue crew from South Kitsap Fire and Rescue made a make-shift bridge with one of their ladders to reach the dog.

The medium-sized black dog was stuck up to its shoulders in the mud and waters.

It was safely removed from the swamp.

Officials say the dog is in satisfactory condition, and is waiting for animal control to help them find the dog’s owner.
