Canada: Pit bull killed after attacking both of its owners

CANADA -- A Gatineau couple is recovering after they were attacked by their own dog on Thursday night, police say.

A man and a woman in their 20s were bitten attacked around 10:30 p.m., Gatineau police said. They suffered deep cuts and were taken to hospital.

  

 

The dog was killed during the attack.


Investigators are looking into what caused the incident, which they say involved a pit bull-type dog.

The city's animal control division is also investigating to see if the dog's owners violated laws on dog ownership.
