ARIZONA -- It's a happy ending for one baby goat.
Dep. Matt Ford was responding to a call when he discovered a baby goat that had gotten lost and fallen into a cactus, according to a post on the Pima County Sheriff's Department Facebook page.
Ford pulled the baby goat from the cactus and began removing the cactus spines one by one.
The baby goat was thin and not in good condition.
Once most of the cactus spines had been removed, Ford began searching for the goat's owners.
No one came forward for the goat, so Dep. Courtney Rodriguez stepped in and adopted him.
She named him Leroy Brown, and said he is now happy and healthy in his new home.
"Leroy even takes part in holiday festivities," the Facebook post stated. "and would like to wish everyone a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day!
