New York: Seventy-two year old man walks out of restaurant and is mauled by a pit bull

NEW YORK -- A dog mangled a Bronx man's hand over the weekend, and neighbors say it's the sixth such attack in as many months.

Rukon Hakim says his 72-year-old father, Abdul, was leaving a 204th Street restaurant Saturday afternoon when a pit bull [grabbed and mauled] his hand.

The older Hakim wound up hospitalized, awaiting major surgery.

Witnesses say they could see exposed bone in his hand after the attack.

Unfortunately that's the extent of the article because it's a subscription site.
