Michigan: Firefighters rescue 8 ducklings from sewer in Sterling Heights

MICHIGAN -- Sterling Heights firefighters rescued eight ducklings from a sewer on the side of the road on Friday.

Crews were called to Schoenherr Road for reports of ducklings trapped in the sewer.

 

The Sterling Heights Fire Department posted pictures of a firefighter retrieving the ducklings from the sewer next to the curb. The ducklings were taken safety out of the area.

Animal control officer Kim Walton and department of public works employee Brian Geldhof helped firefighters in the rescue.

The ducklings were reunited with their mother duck.
