Ohio: John Patterson, 31, charged with animal cruelty; accused of starving his dogs - one to death

OHIO -- Niles police arrested a man Wednesday morning for animal cruelty charges.

John Patterson, 31, was taken into custody after allegedly being involved in a dispute at the High Pointe restaurant around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Police found two dogs in his residence without food and water at the end of May. One was deceased and the other was in an advanced stage of starvation.

Niles police were able to arrest Patterson while responding to another call.
