(June 2017) Florida: Deputies rescue this sad-looking owl stranded on road

FLORIDA -- An owl stranded on the road, looking all ragged, was rescued Tuesday night by law enforcement officials.

Flagler County deputies Lichty and Smith, with Sgt. Weaver, found the owl on County Road 13, according to the sheriff’s Facebook page.

They think it may have been hit by a car. The sad-looking bird was quickly taken to Flagler County Animal Hospital.

Several people online expressed their thanks for a job well done.

Gerry Ann Wirth wrote: “Thank you to the officers that saved this little guy! I hope he makes it!!”
