Ohio: Pit Bull owner flees after letting his dog attack Labrador and its owner

OHIO -- Laura Zurbach posted on Friends of Godown Dog Park Facebook page November 23, 2017

There was an incident today with a black/gray Pit bull with a red harness. The owner was an older male with dark hair (smoking). His pit bull attacked a Labrador Retriever and he did nothing to help.

The Lab owners were leaving the park in the large side when the man released his Pit Bull again, the Pit Bull bit the man's hand and opened skin.

Police were called but the man fled the scene.

This is called "Pit and Run" - when they flee with their dog

Last weekend I saw the same dog attack 4 times and the owner refused to leave when asked so the other dogs left the park.

If anyone sees this dog at the park, please call and use this case number so we can start a file on the owner.

Better yet, discreetly follow him and get the license plate number of the car he is driving. The police can do a tag trace and locate him that way. NEVER confront anyone or make it obvious that you're photographing him or following him to the parking lot. You risk being assaulted or having him release his dog to attack you. Be smart.
