Elderly couple flees after their pit bull bites jogger

PENNSYLVANIA -- Police are searching for the handlers of a brown pit bull that bit a jogger between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday in Smith Woods Park off East Railroad Avenue.

The dog was being walked on a leash by an elderly couple who lost control of the animal, police said.

The animal bit the jogger on the arm, causing an undisclosed injury.

The couple fled the park after the incident. A detailed description was not available Thursday.
