MISSISSIPPI -- Itawamba County authorities say a 13-year-old boy suffered a minor injuries today when he was bitten by a family pit bull.
Sheriff Chris Dickinson tells WTVA the boy was attacked at a home on John Rankin Highway. He says the dog was on a chain.
Deputies say the boy was attempting to fill the pool with water when the dog attacked.
The child suffered injuries to the leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The sheriff says there will be no charges in the incident.
