CANADA -- The woman charged in connection with a pitbull attack in Iqaluit will remain in jail until her next court date.
Saata Koochiajuk, 23, is scheduled to appear in court on July 25. She's facing charges of aggravated assault, uttering threats, resisting arrest and being unlawfully in a dwelling.
Koochiajuk's dog attacked a 29-year-old woman last weekend, and she remains in hospital.
Police shot and killed the dog after responding to the attack, when they couldn't tranquilize it.
Koochiajuk is also facing charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest in relation to an earlier incident.
