NEBRASKA -- It took a laser light from a stun gun and a makeshift bridge using a bullet-proof shield for police officers to rescue a cat from a tree Wednesday night.
Officer TJ Markowsky, with the La Vista Police Department, posted updates and photos of the cat rescue in Central Park on his Twitter account.
“Ofc. Walter found a cat stuck in a tree in Central Park,” he wrote.
In his next tweet showing the cat on a bullet-proof shield, he said, “I used a bulletproof bunker as a bridge for the cat. Cat was 20 feet up from the creek.”
Markowsky said another officer who used the laser light on a stun gun to get the cat down will have some paperwork to do.
The cat was taken to the humane society, he said, though “charges [are] pending for scratching me.”
