Texas: Kelsey Villescas, 28, arrested after her dog died inside her vehicle while she shopped

TEXAS -- In this Laredo heat, leaving your pet inside your car can lead to some serious consequences.

Last Sunday, Laredo Police were called to the 8700 block of Tara Loop.

Once they arrived at around 5:00 pm, Kelsey Villescas, 28, told them her dog had died after she had left it inside her car by mistake while doing some shopping.

Although it is not determined how long the dog stayed inside the vehicle, Villescas was arrested and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
