Ohio: Emaciated dog, week-old puppy rescued from Scioto County home
OHIO -- The Ohio SPCA said it has rescued a severely emaciated dog and one of its surviving puppies from a Scioto County home.
Members of the Response Team brought the dog, named Ruby, to Columbus for treatment.
The dog is extremely emaciated and sick, according to the Ohio SPCA. She was said to be flea-infested and covered with fly-bite wounds on her ears.
Her surviving one-week-old pup is being bottle-fed by a veterinarian since Ruby is in poor condition.
