Florida: Man rehomes his pit bull after it keeps attacking their Dachshund

FLORIDA -- Jim Reddick‎ posted to Facebook about BluePearl Veterinary Partners on Feb 28, 2017

Our Miniature Dachshund Abbey was attacked by our Pit bull. She was in bad shape and we were very upset. Upon our arrival to Blue Pearl all the staff were nothing but exceptional. They showed compassion and professionalism. They clearly explained every step of Abbey's care.

We live about 2 hours away and called often to check on our baby. The team in the ICU unit were always friendly and accommodating at all hours of the day or night. The Doctor's answered any questions we had and always showed compassion. They made sure to ask us if we had any questions and always told us to call anytime.

We were very lucky and Abbey is doing very well. Nothing but thanks and gratitude to everyone at Blue Pearl in Tampa.

EARLIER:
Today I have to do something I've never done before, give one of my dogs away. I've had Palin since she was 6 weeks old. She has been my best friend and loyal companion.

Not sure what happened but she has decided she doesn't like little dogs around me anymore and has attacked our Miniature Dachshund twice now. We have found her a forever home where she can run and play. I hope she falls in love with her new family and they learn to love her as much as I have. It breaks my heart to give her away but it's something I have no choice in. I love you Palin and always will.

Giving it away won't stop it from doing this again. And most attacks are dogs that get away from their owners, get loose from their fenced yards, dart out of the house and then attack whatever helpless victim is their target. :(

  1. Fukkin idiot. We will be reading about this stupid pit on your blog after it's attacked another dog, or God forbid, a child.
